“The Electricity Sector Observatory was established in November 2009 with the support of the Hellenic Electricity Association (HELAS).  The team of the observatory comprises full-time research associates of IOBE with experience in energy economics studies and PhD students from the National Technical University of Athens, specialising in electrical engineering topics. In this way, the unique synergy from combining economic and engineering expertise allows the observatory to study wide range of issues from a balanced perspective. The observatory prepares an annual report and quarterly updates on the main developments in the Greek electricity sector. Apart from that, the observatory prepares annually a study on a topic of special interest.”
